wondering if translucent skin works better?

New organization

the dancing intestines have reconfigured and ruptured. However the hexagonal mesh distracts the eye from the voluptuous caviar. This is the problem to be solved.

The Story of the Eye

Gary / Pre-Midreview

Renders from the last not-too-bad iteration:

For the last iteration I want to reincorporate large spaces like the one below + furnish/vegetate.

Interior studies/ model prep

The following is a of interior space studies, as well as the part of the model for 3D print. The model will be a composite of this 3D printed volume, with some vacuum form translucent volumes, bound together onto a model base.

Interior Shell
Porforation study, I think less holes look better...

Floor plates formed from the interior crease lines from the exterior spines.

Spikes on the interior floors? Also testing some moods for the animation/ render...

Pat 10/7

Red linear cells grow from upwards from the ground and suspend yellow/green partition cells.
Lower-level cells are thinned to shells to facilitate plantings and growing vegetation. Implicit theme of mossy, overgrown, ruined bunker. Yellow/green cells could sprout spikes or hairs on outer surfaces?

In progress

This is a rendering of a file I lost. I've been re-building it. The pod mesh is now more defined, with clearer apertures.

Pre-Midterm

3d print prep

i sent mine in 1'=1/4" scale, because the skin was going to be so fragile in smaller scale.
the size of the model is going to be approximately (wdh) 8" X 4" X 8" .
